Prayer List
Prayer Stratagy For Members
The Prayer has many uses, such as to boost your defence, attack, increase the rate your hitpoints return, etc... The higher your characters Prayer level, the more prayers you can choose from and the longer they can last. At higher levels, there are many to choose from, such as Steel Skin, Protect Extra Item, and Protect from Melee. Prayers are listed under the holy symbol and are color coded. Prayers shown in black are above your level and cannot be used yet. Prayers shown in color can be used.
To raise your prayer points, you have to bury bones. Most monsters drop bones when they are defeated. Click on them to pick them up. To bury bones, right click on the bones and then click bury. There are several different kinds of bones, some are worth more experience then others to bury.

To use a prayer, open the list then click on the one you want to use. When a prayer is in use, it will have a 'glowing' circle around it. You can use more then one prayer at a time. Just remember to keep an eye on you prayer points. Once turned on, a prayer will continue (even after battle ends) until you turn it off or run out of prayer points. If you run out of prayer points, the prayers in use will automatically turn off. Prayer points must be recharged at an alter, they do not gradually return over time like hit points. To recharge Prayer Points, find an alter and click on it. Once your prayer reaches level 31 or higher, recharging Prayer in the upstairs of the Monastery gives an extra 2 Prayer points.

There are items you can wear to get a Prayer bonus, shown under 'Other Bonuses' at the bottom of the list on the Equipment page. These bonuses do not increase your Prayer skill level, but the do slightly decrease the drain rate when prayers are in use. Wearing a Monk's Robe top will give you a +6 and wearing a Monk's Robe bottom gives you a +5. Wearing a Druid's Robe top (Members Runescape) will give you a +4 and wearing a Druid's Robe bottom (Members Runescape) gives you a +4. The down side to wearing a robe is that it is worn instead of armour, not with. Some amulets can also add to the Prayer bonus. ( See Amulets )
