Mining

This skill is useful for getting the material to boost other skill levels or make money. There are many different things to mine; each thing gives you a different amount of experience points. There are many mining areas throughout the world map. (See Free Area Mining Maps and Members Area Mining Maps)

Pickaxes

There are several different kinds of pickaxes you can mine with, they can be bought from Nurmof in the Dwarven Mine (bronze pickaxes can be purchased in some General Stores). Bronze, iron, steel, mithril, adamantite, and runite. Each kind of pickaxe has a different Mining level requirement to use. The better the pickaxe or the higher the required level the better your chances of getting ore and the better fighting stats it will have (since pickaxes can now be wielded as weapons).

To mine, you need to get a pickaxe and then find a mining area. Once at the mining area, click on the rock to mine it. You will hit the rock until you get an ore. With Rune Essence you will mine until your inventory is full. Some random events can stop your mining. You can also prospect to see what kind of ore it has. To do this, right click on a rock, and then select prospect. This does not always work. Sometimes it is easier to just mine the rock and see what you get. Below is a list of the things you can mine, the level required to mine it, and the experience received for it.
