Starting Out
Talk to Arianwyn, he tells you that you must stop the Mourners from getting their hands on the power in the Temple of Light.

Go to West Ardougne, head to the Mourners building, north of the gate. Put on your Mourner clothing (take off anything else) and then down through the trapdoor in the north western corner. Talk to the Head Mourner. He will tell you to find out what happened to one of the dig teams that have gone missing. He will also give you a New Key.

Use the New Key with the door on the west wall, follow the north western branch. There will be Dark Beasts (level 182) in the area. Then take the southern branch. You will get to an area with lots of dead slaves and guards.

You will be attacked by a Shadow (level 73). This is the entrance to the Temple of Light.

Go back and talk to Arianwyn. You will tell him what you found. He will ask you to restore the safeguards on the Temple of Light and then tell you about the temple. He will tell you that somewhere in the temple you will find a crystal, it will be darkened, he needs a sample from that crystal.

Go back to the Temple of Light (same way as before, through the Mourners building, down the trapdoor, etc...) Search the Guard leaning against the northern wall. Head back and talk to Arianwyn. He will summon Eluned to make a replacement crystal. Give the Blackened Crystal to Eluned. Talk to Eluned, she will give you a Newly Made Crystal. Talk to Arianwyn, he will tell you to take the Newly Formed Crystal and place it on the old Altar at the end of the temple and then use it to the darkened crystal to restore the temple safeguards.

Now starts the giant puzzle parts of the quest. Below is useful info about walking around in the temple.
There will be Shadows (level 73) all through the temple. They only have about 15 hitpoints but then can hit 13's often, no matter what you are wearing. Protect from Melee will keep you from getting hit.
It is best to try to stay on the yellow lines marked on the floor when in the temple, wall blades can pop out at you if you get too close to the walls. If are hit you will loose hitpoints.
If you run out of mirrors or crystals while working on a part you might not have had enough inventory space to hold all of them. Go back to the Crystal Collector, right click on it and Collect them. Be sure not to Pull the lever and reset the puzzle.
You can slip and fall going up and down the ladders and rope, taking damage.
During the puzzles you will be using mirrors to aim beams of light in different directions. When you have to aim the light down you can not see if it is going the right way. Below is the mirror rotation screen that will show in the upper right of the game window when you rotate a mirror along with an example of how I will give directions on how to point the mirror:
When said north side pointing out and south side pointing in.
Part One
Go up the stairs to the second floor. Go east from the stairs, pull the Crystal Collector. Click on it again and take all the items. You will get 4 Hand Mirrors and a Yellow Crystal.
Use a Hand Mirror with the Pillar of Light just west of you. You want the light to aim north. If it does not then click the pillar and rotate the mirror. A mirror rotation screen will open in the upper right of your screen. Click on 'Rotate mirror', keep clicking it until the light points north.
Go north to the next pillar, use a Hand Mirror with it. You want this light to aim west. If it does not rotate it like the last one.
Go west to the next pillar, use a mirror with it. This one should point south.
Go south to the next pillar, use the Yellow Crystal with it.
Go south to the next pillar. Use a mirror with it, this one should point east.
This is where something that raises Agility will be useful... On the southern wall to your east, climb the Wall Support to cross the gap. If you fall you will drop down into the first level of the temple and take a bit of damage, just go back up and try again. Once you make it to the end, pass through the Light Door. Open and search the chest, you will get 2 mirrors and a Cyan Crystal.

Part Two
Go back to the Crystal Collector (at the top of the stairs) and pull it. Click on it again and take all the items. Use a mirror with the pillar nearby, aim the light north.
Go north to the next pillar and use a mirror with it. Aim the light west.
Go west to the next pillar, use the Yellow Crystal with it.
Head west to the next pillar, use a mirror with it. Aim the light north.
Head north to the next pillar, use a mirror with it. Aim the light east.
Head east to the next pillar, use the Cyan Crystal with it.
Go east and pass through the Light Door. Open and search the chest, you will find 2 mirrors.

Part Three
Go back to the Crystal Collector (at the top of the stairs) and pull it. Click on it again and take all the items.
Use a mirror with the pillar and aim it north.
Go north to the next pillar, use a mirror with it and aim the light west.
Go west to the next pillar and use the Cyan Crystal with it.
Go west to the next pillar and use a mirror with it, aim the light north.
Go north to the next pillar and use a mirror with it, aim the light east.
Go east to the next pillar and use a mirror with it. For this one you need to aim the light up. Rotate the mirror until you see the light going up from the large hole in the center of the pillar.
Go up the ladder just north of the pillar. Use a mirror with the pillar and aim the light west.
Go back down the ladder and head south. When you get to the southern wall go up the ladder. Following the yellow on the floor, head north and then west. You will see a set of stairs to the north, go down them.
This area is safe from the Shadows. You can stay here and rest if needed. When you are ready, go up the stairs to the north.
Go west following the yellow on the floor. Follow the passage way west and then north to the pillar. There will be spinning blades that pop out of the walls in this area. Use a mirror with the pillar. Aim the light down. The mirror in the rotation screen will be pointing out on the east side and in on the west side.
Go down to the first floor. Head to the north western corner. Pass through the Light Door. Click the pillar and aim the light south.
Pass through the Light Door. Follow the eastern branch, open and search the chest. You will get mirrors and a Fractured Crystal. Go back through the Light Door. Rotate the mirror to aim the light at the eastern door to leave.

Part Four
Go up to the second floor. Do not pull the Crystal Collector lever.
Go north from the stairs and take the Cyan Crystal from the pillar. Use the Yellow Crystal with the pillar.
Head south and go up the ladder on the south wall. Follow the yellow on the floor north and then west to the stairs leading down again. You can stop and rest here if needed.
Go up the north stairs. Follow the yellow on the floor west and then follow the passageway west and then north to the pillar. Rotate the mirror and aim the red light south.
Follow the yellow on the floor south to the pillar in the south western corner. Use a mirror with the pillar. Aim the light down. The mirror in the rotation screen will be pointing out on the north side and in on the south side.
Go north and then follow the passageway east. Follow the yellow on the floor east and then south, turn east and go down the stairs. Follow the yellow on the floor around to the room with a big hole in the floor to the west of the stairs. Climb over the Low Wall to get in.
Use the rope with the rocks on the west side of the hole. Climb down to the next level. You can fall and take damage. Go east and then through the Light Door. Open and search the chest. You will get a Blue Crystal. Go back through the Light Door and up the Rope.
Climb over the Low Wall and follow the yellow on the floor north and then east. Once you get to the eastern wall go north to the Crystal Collector.

Part Five
Pull the Crystal Collector lever. Collect all of the items.
Set up the pillars like you did in Part One:
Use a Hand Mirror with the Pillar of Light just west of you. You want the light to aim north. If it does not then click the pillar and rotate the mirror. A mirror rotation screen will open in the upper right of your screen. Click on 'Rotate mirror', keep clicking it until the light points north.
Go north to the next pillar, use a Hand Mirror with it. You want this light to aim west. If it does not rotate it like the last one.
Go west to the next pillar, use a mirror with it. This one should point south.
Go south to the next pillar, use the Yellow Crystal with it.
Go south to the next pillar. Use a mirror with it, this one should point east.

Go north to the next pillar. Use a mirror with it and aim the light west.
Go west to the next pillar and use a mirror with it. Aim the light up. You will see the light going up out of the hole in the center of the pillar.
Follow the yellow on the floor south. You will see stairs going up on the west side, go up them.
Follow the yellow on the floor north, you will see stairs going down to the north, go down them. You can rest here if needed.
Go up the stairs to the north. Head east to the pillar. Use a mirror with it, aim the light south. It should be shining through a wall. Go back down the stairs and up the southern stairs.
Go south and east to the pillar. Use the Fractured Crystal it. The light should be shining in all 4 directions.
Go west to the pillar, use a mirror with it. Aim the light down. The mirror in the rotation screen will be pointing out on the east side and in on the west side.
Go east and then south to the pillar. Use a mirror with the pillar, aim the light east.
Go east to the next pillar, use a mirror with it. Aim the light down. The mirror in the rotation screen will be pointing out on the west side and in on the east side.
Go south and down the stairs. Follow the yellow on the floor north and then go down the stairs near the Crystal Collector.
Once on the bottom floor go south. Turn west and follow the yellow on the floor to the third/last pillar. It should have a green light coming from the center. Use a mirror with it and aim the light south.
Go south to the next pillar, use a mirror with it. Aim the light east.
Go east, go through the Light Door. Use a mirror with the pillar and aim the light north.
Go through the Light Door to the north. Open and search the chest. You will get mirrors and a Fractured Crystal. Go back through both Light Doors, then north east to the stairs leading to the second floor.

Part Six
Go to the Crystal Collector, pull the lever. Collect all of the items. Use a mirror with the pillar next to the Crystal Collector, aim the light north.
Go north and use a mirror with the pillar. Aim the light down. The mirror in the rotation screen will be pointing out on the south side and in on the north side.
Go down the stairs near the Crystal Collector. Go north to the pillar, use a mirror with it. Aim the light west.
Go west to the pillar, use the new Fractured Crystal with it (the one with the dark spot on the right or east side.) If you used the right one, there will be light aiming in all 4 directions.
Go west to the yellow on the floor. Follow it north and then east to the pillar. It should have light aimed at it from the south. Use a mirror with it and aim the light up.
Go back to the pillar with the Fractured Crystal. Head south to the next pillar and use the other Fractured Crystal with it.
Go west to the next pillar, use a mirror with it. Aim the light up.
Go east past the pillar with the Fractured Crystal to the next pillar. Use a mirror with the pillar and aim the light up.
Go north and up the stairs leading to the second floor. Go north following the yellow on the floor, then turn west, north, and east to the pillar with light pointing up from the center. Use the Yellow Crystal with it.
Go up the ladder and use a mirror with the pillar just south of you. Aim the light west.
Go down the ladder. Head all the way south and up the ladder on the southern wall.
Go north to the pillar and then east to the next one. Use a mirror with it and aim the light west.
Go west to the next pillar and use a mirror with it. Aim the light north.
Go west to the next pillar and use a mirror with it. Aim the light west.
Go down the stairs north of you. You can rest here if needed. When ready go up the northern stairs.
Go north and then east to the pillar, it should have light aimed at it from the south. Use a mirror with it, aim the light west.
Go west to the next pillar. Use the Blue Crystal with it.
Go west past the next pillar and follow the passageway north east. Go north to the pillar, use a mirror with it. Aim the light south.
Go south to the next pillar and use a mirror with it. Aim the light east.
Go north and follow the passageway again, go east at the end and then south down the stairs. Rest if needed.

The Ending
When you are ready, go down the stairs to the south. Go through the Light Door. Rotate the mirror on the pillar west of the Light Door to aim west.

Always remember... Before you leave the area be sure to rotate the mirror on the pillar to aim at the Light Door again. If you do not it will make things a lot harder later on.

You will talk to the dwarf, Thorgel. He will offer to trade you a Death Talisman for the items on a list he will give you. If you have a Death Talisman you will skip this part, but you will not get one when you finish the quest. Once you have the list, go back through the Light Door. Go east and rotate the mirror to point east at the Light Door. Now you can leave to gather the items.
It will take a few trips to give him all of the items he asks for. Be sure to rotate the mirror each time you leave.

When you give him the items, he will ask if he can take anything he needs. If you say yes, he will take all of the items in your inventory that are on the list. If you say no, he will go through the items one at a time and ask if he can have it. After you give him items, he will update your list and remove them.
On your last trip to give the list items be sure to take the Newly Made Crystal with you. Taking the Teleport Crystal is a time saver.
