Sanfew requires a rare herb for the next part of the purifying ritual. Travel back to the Troll Stronghold to find this herb that the trolls use as an ingredient for their favourite dish.
Talk to Sanfew in Taverley, he is on the second floor of the Herblore Shop. Ask if he has any more work for you to help reclaim the circle. He will ask you to get an herb called goutweed for him.

Go north towards the Troll Stronghold. After you pass Tenzing's house and climb over the first set of rocks take the path to the east. You will get the 'arena' where you fought Dad in the Troll Stronghold Quest. Go through the 'arena' and the next cave into the maze section.

Once you get to the maze section, head towards the center of it. You will have to pass the Thrower Trolls (level 68) on your way through, they can hit you with quite a bit of damage. Using the Protect From Missiles prayer keeps you from taking damage from them.

Near the center you will see a Cave Entrance, go inside. Talk to Eadgar, ask about goutweed. He will tell you to talk to the Troll Cooks.

Leave the cave and head west into the Troll Stronghold. Go south and then down the Stone Staircase. Talk to Burntmeat, he will ask you to bring him a tasty human.

Head to Ardougne. Stop at the bank and get the pineapple, knife, and vodka. (NOTE: if you do not have the pineapple and vodka yet, you can get them from the Grand Tree.)

Be careful on this part, so you do not eat or drink your supplies. Use the knife with the pineapple to dice the pineapple. Use the pineapple chunks with the vodka to make Alco-chunks.

Use the Alco-chunks with the Aviary Hatch on the west side of the cage. One of the parrots will eat the chunks and get drunk. Parroty Pete will ask you to talk the parrot to the vet.

Head west into the Troll Stronghold. Go north and then down the Stone Staircase. Go through the Prison Door and then down the next Staircase. Next, go west and a bit south. You will see a Rack, use the Drunk Parrot with it. Head south, leave through the Exit.

Go south to Taverley, talk to Sanfew (on the second floor of the Herblore Shop). He will tell you to talk to Tegid.

Leave Sanfew and go south east of the Herblore Shop. Talk to Tegid. Tell him that Sanfew won't be happy. He will give you a Dirty Robe.

Go to a bank to gather supplies. For the next part you will need the Dirty Robe, Drunk Parrot, 10 wheat, 2 logs, tinderbox, ranarr weed, vial of water, and pestle and mortar. You will also need your armour, weapon, and some food. Use the ranarr with the vial to save space. Remember to leave 5 open inventory spaces for the raw chicken.

Go back towards Eadgar's cave in the center of the maze. On your way there, stop at Tanzing's house and kill 5 chickens, take the raw chicken. Go and talk to Eadgar. He will take the items and ask you to get Troll Thistle. Leave the cave and look around on the mountain for the Troll Thistle. It does not show as a red dot since you have to pick it. Try looking on the top of the mountain and in the areas near the Mountain Goats.

Once you have the Troll Thistle, light a fire. (NOTE: you can not use the fire in Eadgar's cave.) Use the Troll Thistle with the fire to get Dried thistle. Use the Dried thistle with the Pestle and mortar to get Ground thistle. Use the Ground thistle with the Unfinished Ranarr potion to get Troll potion.

When you are ready, go down the Stone staircase. Follow the tunnel to the Storeroom Door, go through it.

You will have to be careful for this next part. If you have lag it can be a big pain. You must sneak past the guards to the crates near the center of the southern wall. If the guards see you, they will throw something at you causing you to loose hitpoints and be teleported out of the room. The Protect From Missiles prayer can prevent hitpoint damage. You can usually follow behind a guard without being seen as long as another guard does not see you. The best way to get through is to watch the patterns that the guards follow. Try to time your movements so you are behind or at least one space between you and the guards when you are to the side of them. When you make it to the crates, search them to get Goutweed.

Once you have the Goutweed, go back to Taverley and talk to Sanfew. He will reward you.
