Runescape - In Search of the Myreque Quest Guide

In Search of the Myreque Quest Guide

Thanks go to Devalice for writing this guide

Canifis is experiencing an upsurge in new faces and a new stranger has appeared with a job to track down some local heroes known only as "The Myreque". The Myreque are fighting a desperate battle against the darkness of Morytania and he wishes to take them weapons to aid in the battle. Can you help him out?

Start point:
Hair of the Dog Tavern in Canifis.
To start:
Talk to a stranger in the corner of the Tavern.
Quest difficulty/length:
Intermediate/Short
Minimum requirements:
  • Must have completed Nature Spirit Quest
  • Level 25 Agility
  • Must be able to defeat a level 97 foe
Members only:
Yes
Items needed:
1 Blessed Silver Sickle
Druid Pouch filled with how many ever fungi you think you'll need
Armour
Weapons
Food (if your lower than 90 I'd say, or if you wanna be safe)
1 Steel Longsword
2 Steel Shortswords
1 Steel Warhammer
1 Steel Mace
1 Steel Dagger
225 Steel Nails (yes, 225)
6 Planks
100 extra gp
1 Hammer

(NOTE: If you need the Druids Pouch or if you need to bless a Silver Sickle, stop at the Grotto Tree (on the small island near the southern end of the swamp). You can bless a silver sickle by using it with the Alter of Nature inside the Grotto Tree. The Druids Pouch is also inside the Grotto Tree.)

(Be sure to listen to what the NPC's say, you will be quized on parts of it later.)

  1. Go to Mortanyia, to the bar where most people train on werewolves. The guys on the eastern side of the bar, talk to him.
    ( Done)

  2. After talking, you'll learn you need some weapons (the steel stuff shown above) Once you get them, head to Mort'ton, and be sure to have your blessed silver sickle and druid pouch, 6 planks, the steel weapons, 30 nails, and food if your safe.
    ( Done)

  3. Once there, head to the east side of the town. You'll see a man in green robes by a boat, talk to him. When he done talking, select 'Fine, I guess they'll just die without these steel weapons'. When he does talking, a new option will be in the same spot. 'Able enough to get their own steel weapons?'.
    ( Done)

  4. Once he's done talking again, select 'Dont you feel guilty?' (Not the exact quote, look for something close to it. He'll break down, and let you use his boat, after you bring him 3 planks (you should have 6 on you). Talk to him again, and give him the planks.
    ( Done)

  5. Click on his boat, and pay him to use it. Once it stops, head north, and look for a tree with planks nailed into it (like a treehouse). Climb up, and try to cross the bridge. It should crack, so repair it. Try walking again, a new spot will break. Reapir it. Walk again, breaks, repair. Once across the bridge, climb down the ladder.
    ( Done)

  6. There will be a man hanging out by a tree, talk to him and answer his questions. He'll unlock the door behind the tree. Go in, and follow the path. If you hit a wall, come back up just a bit, and look for a nook in the cave wall on your mini map, and sneak in behind the stalagmite.
    ( Done)

  7. Once in, talk to the guy with the steel-looking plate. He'll tell you to introduce yourself to everyone, so do so. (No need to ask them all the questions.) Once done, talk to him again.
    ( Done)

  8. After talking to him, a Vampire will appear and kill off two of the people, and summon some dead dog to kill you. Its lvl 97. Im not sure about anyone else, but this thing didn't even hit me. Put on prayer/bring food if you wanna be safe. It should drop 4 big bones and 2 rubies (Did for me). Talk to the guy in the steel plate again, and ask 'How do I get out of here?'. Then, head back to the wall and search it. Climb up the ladder, and go back into the bar.
    ( Done)

  9. Once in the bar, there will be a 'Stranger' where the guy who started the quest was at. Talk to him. Quest done.
