Runescape - Nature Spirit Quest Guide

Nature Spirit Quest Guide

Thanks go to michelelee for writing this quest guide

After saving the holy man Drezel, he's seeking some assistance again. This time he has a special request for any adventurous sorts to search for the Druid 'Filliman Tarlock' and brave the terrors that infest the swamp of Mort Myre.

Start point:
Underground chambers of the temple to Saradomin on the River Salve.
To start:
Speak to Drezel
Quest difficulty/length:
Novice/Medium
Minimum requirements:
  • Level 18 Crafting
  • Must have completed the Priest In Peril Quest
  • Must be able to defeat a level 30 monster
Members only:
Yes
Items needed:
Food (Drezel gives you some and you can take some, ghasts will turn it rotten instead of attacking you)
Silver Bar
Sickle Mould (which is available at Craft Store for 10gp)
Amulet of Ghostspeak

You will not be able to make sickle until time comes to make it. And the Amulet of Ghostspeak you had gotten from the Restless Ghost Quest. If you do not still have one, you can get a new one from the priest/monk in Lumbrudge Swamp. (I may be mistaken but I think it is the house south east of the entrance to Lost City.)

  1. To begin this quest you will need to go talk to Drezel and he will tell you about 'Filliman Tarlock' and where you may find him. He will give you some food to take with you.
    ( Done)

  2. Once you go through the portal and go across the bridge, go south till you get to a gate. Go through it and head south. NOTE: If you go during busy times you may find it easier.
    ( Done)

  3. Once you see the island go around to the broken bridge and jump over it. You may fall in the water and take about 7 points of damage but will be on the other side from which you jumped. Be wearing the Amulet of Ghostspeak so you can understand Fill. He will not believe that he is dead, a ghost.. so you will need to go pick up the wash bowl on the table and under it should be a mirror, pick it up.
    ( Done)

  4. Use the mirror on Fill. You will then be asked to find his journal. You search the grotto and find the journal. Then use it on Fill. He then says he wants to be a nature spirit and that he needs help with the 3 things.
    ( Done)

  5. He knows the first one and tells you that you need to get something of nature. Which is when you get the bloom spell from him and go use it on a log and pick the fungi. Go back and use it on the west rock.
    ( Done)

  6. Ask him for another blooming spell and USE the paper on the East rock, it will be pulled into the rock. Then go stand on the south rock and tell Fill you have figured it out, he will then check and everything will be in order and he will cast a spell and then you can go in to the grotto.
    ( Done)

  7. Once in there you will talk to him and he will then mention the silver sickle. You will then have to go make the silver sickle with a bar of silver and the sickle mould at a furnace.
    ( Done)

  8. Once that is made, you will then go back to him and he will bless it and give you a nature pouch.
    ( Done)

  9. Go out and use the sickle to cast the blooming spell and get 3 fungi and then click on the pouch to fill and the fungi will go in it.
    ( Done)

  10. Then go kill three ghasts (level 30) and once you do so go back and get rewarded from Fill.

Reward:
2 Quest Points
3000 Crafting Exp
2000 Hitpoints Exp
2000 Defence Exp

It is recommended to keep the Silver Sickle after finishing the quest. Casting the bloom spell with it is how you get Mory Myre Fungus used for making Super Energy Potions. You may also need it for future quests for protection from the swamp's damaging effects. If you do not keep the Blessed Silver Sickle, you can make another one later. You can bless a new Silver Sickle by using it with the Alter of Nature inside the Grotto Tree.
