Glass making

Seaweed
Soda Ash (sodiumcarbonate)
Bucket of Sand
Glass Blowing Pipe

Making glass requires seaweed, a fire or range, a bucket full of sand, and a glassblowing pipe. (Hint: most items can be found on Entrana Island) You can make beer glasses, vials, and orbs. To make glass you first need to make sodium carbonate (soda ash). To make soda ash, click on seaweed in your inventory and then on a fire or range. Next, find a furnace. Once there, click on the soda ash and then the furnace. This mixes the soda ash with the sand in the furnace leaving molten glass. To make a glass item, click on the glassblowing pipe and then the molten glass. You will get a message asking what you would like to make, click on the item. If your Crafting level is not high enough to make the chosen item a message will appear telling you this along with the required level.

Battlestaffs

Battlestaff

Making a battlestaff requires a charged orb (See Magic for info on charging orbs) and a battlestaff (can be purchased at staff shop in Varrock or in the Magic Guild for 7000 gold). To attach an orb to a battlestaff, right click the orb and then click use, then click on the staff. Once orbs are added to battlestaffs they can be enhanced to boost the weapon stats, the cost is 40,000 gold pieces. This changes the staff to a Mystic Staff. (Note: You must complete the Scorpion Catcher Quest to get battlestaffs enhanced yourself.) To get the battlestaff enhanced, take it and gold to Thormac the Sorcerer.

Shells & Snelms

Shell (Blamish Ochre Shell shown)

Shells can be crafted in to snelm helmets. You can get the shells by killing snails (their combat levels range from 9 to 20) in Mort Myre Swamp (must complete the Priest In Peril Quest). All snelms have the same stats when worn, so choosing a shell comes down to looks. To cut the shell into a snlem you need a chisel and a shell. Cutting the shells requires level 15 Crafting. You gain 32.5 exp for crafting each shell.

(NOTE: The name of the shell changes when it is cut.)
