Bank

The bank is where you can store items or gold pieces, this helps to free up space in your inventory. You are the only one that can access your bank account. All items stack or take up only 1 space when they are deposited into the bank, including items that do not stack in your inventory, like ore and food. It is a good idea to store items that you are not using at the time or will not need for a while, but still want to hold on to. To access your bank account, find a bank then click on the Banker or a Bank booth. Some banks have a faster system that allows you to skip talking to the Banker. To use this, right click on the Bank booth and click 'Use-quickly Bank booth'.

The bank is also where you can make bank notes. These make it faster and easier to trade large amounts of items that do not stack in your inventory. For example, 50 coal withdrawn as bank notes will only take up 1 inventory space. To use bank notes, click on 'Withdraw as note' button at the bottom of the bank screen and then withdraw the items as usual. One bank note is equal to one item. On the down side, you can not use the item as you normally would while it is in note form. For example you can not smelt ore while it is a note. To use the items again, deposit the notes into the bank and then withdraw them as items.

Guilds

There are several guilds in Runescape. These are places that require a high level of a certain skill to enter. Once your skill level is raised enough, you may visit. There are usually things inside to benefit the skill that must be boosted to get in. ( See Guilds )

Wilderness

The Wilderness runs along the top of the map. There are many levels in the Wilderness; the deeper you go the greater treasure but also the greater the danger. This is the only place on the map where a player can attack another player without each having to agree to combat. The Wilderness is an area the allows multi-way combat, more then one player can attack another player or monster at the same time, and more then one monster can attack you at the same time. What players can attack you is based on both your combat levels and the level of the Wilderness you are in. For example, at Wilderness level 3 anyone within 3 combat levels above or below your combat level may attack or be attacked by you. At Wilderness level 10 anyone within 10 combat levels may engage in combat. All monsters are aggressive in the Wilderness, any level monster will attack any player, regardless of their combat level.

To begin combat with another player click them. If you attack another player a skull appears above your head and lasts for 20 minutes after the battle ends. If your character dies while the skull is above his/her head they will loose everything in their inventory, including the 3 most valuable items. After the skull disappears the 3 item rule goes back into effect. If you are attacked you do not get a skull, only the player that begins the battle gets one.

While in the Wilderness be careful. Remember that other players can attack you too and a few of their friends may be waiting somewhere nearby to ambush you as you try to leave.
