Accept the challenge of the Legends Guild to map the Southern part of Karamja Island, make friends with the natives and bring back a prize to display in the Legends Guild Main Hall.

  1. To begin the quest head to the Legends Guild and talk to the guards to gain entrance and speak to Radimus Erkle in the build to the left of the path heading to the guild. You will get three tasks to complete:

    • Map the Kharazi Jungle
    • Form a friendship with the Natives
    • Return a totem to the guild from the Natives

  2. When done talking to Radimus Erkle search his cupboard for the machete you need to carry at all times, and you can collect 3 papyrus from the respawn on the table or buy it from the general store in Shilo or East Ardougne, you can make charcoal yourself by using a few coal with a fire or buy it as well from the general store as well.

  3. Be equipped with your armor, weapon and food. You also will need to have the papyrus, charcoal, Radimus notes, machete and hatchet. Go talk to a forester south of Shilo Village (take boat to brimhaven for 30gp then walk south or take the cart for a percentage of what you carry) and he tells you he will give you something if you can impress him. Once done talking head into the jungle using your machete and hatchet to cut yourself a path through. You will come across:
    • Jungle Savage (Level 90)
    • Jungle Wolf (Level 64)
    • Oomlie Bird (Level 46)

  4. You will now need to map the jungle, and it is three sections: Western, Middle and Eastern. Do this by walking into each part. When you manage to map a section it will inform you the area is complete. Keep trying until you get it. Once you have all three sections mapped exit the jungle and talk to the forester and he will be very impressed and asks to copy and in return he gives you the bull roarer. You can now discard your left over charcoal and papyrus. You will need to remain carrying the map and machete and hatchet along with the bull roarer. IF you need to replenish your food be sure to do so now before you go back in the jungle.

  5. Now when you are ready go back into the jungle and swing your bull roarer and a native Gujuo will appear, talk to him. He will mention he needs help finding Ungadulu. Head to the western section of the jungle towards the north along the edge of the jungle and you should see a group of rocks, 3 of them. Search them and climb down, sometimes you will get stuck and come back out but keep trying. You will enter a dungeon area and see a wall of fire with a man inside. Search the flames and then talk to the guy to find it is Ungadulu and he will tell you only holy water will put out the flames. Return to the top and call on Gujuo again with your bullroarer.

  6. When he arrives talk to him and he will mention that a bowl made from metal like the sun can be used to carry the water. He then gives you a pic of the bowl. Take it and 2 gold bars along with a hammer to a anvil to make the bowl. Stop off at the bank and have on you the bowl, the bullroarer, pickaxe, lockpick, plus your hatchet, machete, map. Also bring along your runes of soul, mind, earth, laws, and gemstones. Grab food and prayer pots and you should already be wearing armor. You may also take silverlight. Go back to the jungle and use the bullroarer to call Gujuo again. Now talk to him and sing to bless the bowl. For water you will head to the center section of the jungle and in the middle find a water source. To put the water in the bowl you will need to use your machete on a reed and use it on the water to fill your bowl.

  7. Once you done that head back to the cavern and use the bowl of water on the flames. Go into the circle and search the desk located in there to find a book. Read it then talk to Ungadulu and you will realize he isn’t right and he tosses you out of the ring. Now go search the bookcase to the north east and you will find a crack you can squeeze into. Do so and it may take a couple tries if you get stuck and come back out. Once you get through you come out in a passage with a big door at the end in which you will need to use your Lockpick on. If successful at lock picking it you will open it. Now there will be boulders in a row that you need to smash with your pickaxe to get further. You will come to another big door and you will need to use your strength to open it. If you fail you will lose some points and may need to rest to let it get back up. It is said that you need at least 50 to open the door. You end up in a room with Death wings (looks like large bats) level 83, run across it and follow the path until you get to a jagged wall you will have to jump. Down the path a bit you will find a marked wall, when you search it you will find a riddle. It is SMELL, which is one soul, one mind, one earth, two laws.. Use the runes in that order to unlock it.

  8. Pass through the wall and you will see pools of water and rock formations known as stalagmites. This is where your gemstones come in to play. Go up to one of the rock formations and use a gem on it, if it says nothing happens try another one until you get the right one and move onto the next and do the same with remaining gems until you got each gem on its correct rock. Once done the gems will activate a spell that reveals the book of binding. Take the book and read it to learn how to defeat the demon. It tells you of how to make vials of holy water. (I myself did not use them.)

  9. If you feel you have enough food and have prayer pots you may now go ahead and head back to Ungadulu if not go back to bank and replenish then return. Equip the silverlight or if you are going to use the holy water vials, drink your super sets and prepare for battle. Use the book of binding with Ungadulu and a demon level 187 will appear and attack you. When he does it drains your prayer so drink your pot and turn on protect from melee during this battle. Once you defeat the demon talk to Ungadulu and he will give you seeds.. Yommie Tree Seeds. Talk to him again to get out of the ring of fire and he will enchant you with a protection spell so you can walk right through.

  10. You need to add water to the seeds so when you go to get some from the water source in the center section of the jungle you find it contaminated. Use your bullroarer and talk to Gujuo and he will then ask you to go and find out what happened to the water source. For this you will need the bravery potion to give you enough bravery to enter the deep cave. The potion is made from snake weed and ardigal herbs. The Snake weed herb is found north of Cairn Island by searching the vines, and Ardigal herb is found on the peninsula with palm trees you search for the herb, east of the dungeon with jogres, north east of Tai Bwo Wannai. Once you have the 2 herbs you make the bravery potion by using snake weed with a vial of water then using the other herb with the potion. Now have on you the Lockpick, pickaxe, rope, Unpowered orb, runes to cast a charge orb spell, bravery potion in addition to the stuff you keep on you: hatchet, machete, map. Wear your armor and weapon. If you want you can bring the silverlight or holy vials not necessary for fighting the demon. Also I myself did not bring them since I wanted to get the holy force spell later and left them in the bank. Doing this I had to have another set of cast charging orb runes and a Unpowered orb. Prayer pots and food are good to take since you can get damage from obstacles and enemies.

  11. Once you are set make your way back to the room where you placed the gemstones on the rock formations. On the north wall is a Ancient Gate, cast your charging orb spell on the gate. You will appear in another part and see a winch, use your rope on it but before descending drink your bravery potion then climb down the rope. Make your way down to the bottom, be careful the path has plenty of obstacles on it. Once you get to the bottom you will see 3 different monsters, a level 95, 100, and a 106. Kill one of each to get a crystal piece then head north to find a furnace that you use the crystal pieces on. You then will get one crystal and will need to go search a mossy rock at the eye of the dragon. The dungeon is in a shape of a dragon head. Go where the eye would be and search for the mossy rock, then search the mossy rock and use your crystal on it. It will begin to glow.

  12. Take your glowing crystal and use it on the heart symbol on the wall to the southeast corner of the cavern. This then makes the wall shimmer and allows you to pass through it. Run past the lesser demons to the west till you come to a boulder at edge of the water. You have 2 choices now as to what you want to do. One way is short but hard, the other long and easy:

    Short:
    Try to push the boulder and a ghost appears. Talk to him and you will be asked to kill Vyveldi another ghost. You are given a black dagger in which you equip and go back to the top of the hill where you entered and pick up the blue wizard hat. Vyveldi appears in which you stab him with the dagger and it begins to glow. You then go back to the boulder, drink your potions if you brought any and push the boulder again. You will now be battling the demon. Once you kill it push the boulder again and then use the bowl with the water.
    Long:
    Try to push the boulder and a ghost appears. Talk to him and you will be asked to kill Vyveldi another ghost. He gives you a black dagger, instead of going to kill the other ghost head back to Ungadulu and talk to him. He will give you a Holy Force Spell which weakens the demon a lot. Now head back to bank and get more runes for casting charging orb spell and a Unpowered orb as well as more food and pots. Go all the way back to the boulder and push it, use the holy force spell on the ghost and it turns into a demon. Once you kill it push the boulder again and use your bowl on the water.

  13. No go all the way back up and out to the jungle. You will now need rune hatchet, the Yommie tree seeds, blessed bowl with holy water. As well as your usual jungle equipment: hatchet, machete, bullroarer, and map. Bullroar for Gujuo when you germinate the seed with the holy water. If you need new water go to water source since you moved boulder it is clean and usable again. He will tell you that you need fertile soil to plant the seeds. To find this search the ground for dark brown spots. Use a seed on it and the tree will then be young and you use holy water on it then it becomes an adult tree. Cut it down before it dies. Use your axe on it to remove the limbs and things until you get a totem pole. Find a Dark Totem pole in the area, and before you replace it be sure you are ready for the battle, drink your pots and so forth and be sure you have enough food. Replace the totem with yours and depending on what option you choose earlier depends on what you have to fight now. If you choose easy but hard you now have to fight the 3 guys from the bottom of the cavern, 95, 100 and 106 and I believe the demon. But if you choose long but easy then you only have the demon to battle.

  14. Once you have defeated the demon talk to Gujuo again and you get a golden totem in which you take back to Radimus Erkle along with the map. You then meet him in the lobby of the Legends Guild and talk to him again. You get to pick 4 skills to gain exp in. You have completed the quest and now a Legends Member.

      NOTE: Dragon armour also requires level 60 Defense to equip
