Rag and Bone Man Quest Guide

Everybody needs some body, and the Odd Old Man knows exactly which bits of those bodies he needs. Can you help him finish his extensive and extremely creepy collection?

Rag and Bone Man Mini-Quest

Start point:

Next to the quarry, North East of Varrock

To start:

Speak to the Odd Old Man

Combat level of around 20 advised

Items Needed:

Pots - 8 (I used 8 so I had all bones done up but you can get by with one)
Logs - 8 or a woodcutting Axe
Tinderbox
Gold - (to buy vinegar)
Bones from: (can get during quest, see step 3)

• Goblin
• Bear
• Big Frog
• Ram
• Unicorn
• Monkey
• Giant Rat
• Giant Bat

1. Head east from Varrock through the gate towards the Temple on the River Salve. Talk to the Odd Old Man. He tells you he is an archeologist collecting bones for the museum. He asks you to get him bones and to stick them in a pot of vinegar. There is a wine merchant in draynor named Furtunato.
   
   Step is Complete.

2. Head to Draynor and talk to Fortunato located in the market area with is own stall. Buy some wine I bought 8 one for each bone.

3. Now go collect the bones needed. Bones from (where I got it but you don't have to get them there):

   • Goblin (skull) - in between Lumbridge & Draynor Village
   • Bear (ribs) - north of Falador
   • Big Frog (leg) - Lumbridge Swamp Dungeon
   • Ram (skull) - Lumbridge with the sheep
   • Unicorn (bone) - west of Catherby
   • Monkey (paw) - Karamaja Island, west of banana tree (Amulet of Glory teleport)
   • Giant Rat (bone) - Ardougne in manhole
   • Giant Bat (wing) - south of the flax patch at Keep Le Faye

   And use vinegar with pot then use bone with pot.
   
   Step is Complete.

4. Head back to the Odd Old Man with the bones and the logs. Use Logs with Pot Boiler, then use the bones in pot with it then light the logs. When vinegar evaporates they bones will be nice and clean. Repeat with the remaining bones and logs.

5. Hand the bones over to the Odd Old Man. Quest Complete.

Rag and Bone Man Mini-Quest
Evidently when done with first part, you can view the Odd Old Man's wishlist of bones he would like from a bullentin on the side of his shack. When gathering the bones try not to confuse some of them with the regular bones they drop. For Example: Some drop: Wolf Bones, but you need: Wolf Bone.

You may have to kill more than one of that creature to get the bone used.

Once you finish the wishlist of bones you will have Completely Completed the Quest.
