Troll Stronghold Quest Guide

The Imperial Guard raid was a failure, and Dunstan's son has been captured by the trolls! Journey through Trollheim to the Troll Stronghold, and rescue him!

Start point:

Imperial Guard training camp in Burthorpe, North of the Hero's Guild

To start:

Speak to Denulth

Quest difficulty/length:

Experienced/Medium

Minimum requirements:

• Level 15 Agility
• Must beat a level 113 Troll
• Must have completed Death Plateau Quest
• Good thieving is an advantage

Climbing Boots (12gp from sherpa)

1. Start the quest by speaking to denulth in the tent at the imperial guard camp in burthrope after you have completed the death plateau quest.

2. You ask denulth how goes the fight with the trolls and he tells you bad news that they met resistance. That they was ambushed from trolls coming from the north and that they kidnapped dunstan's son Godric. You offer your help and he warns you that there is a lot trolls once you are even able to make the climb.

3. Once you have your climbing boots that you purchase from the sherpa for 12gp, go along the secret passage way till you come to the pile of rocks you could not get by before and climb up them and go northeast till you get to a gate. Once at gate you will go through and be told no human gets through arena without beating dad Lev 101 troll. Once you fight him easy with prayer, go to the exit and go through. Head northwest to cave entrance and go in. Watch out for trolls ranging form Lev 69 to 71. Go through and enter the cave exit. Stay to the outer ring.. just part of it you have to watch because trolls throw rocks with a lot of damage. Go through the area with more trolls and go through the entrance to the stronghold.

4. Once in the stronghold you will need to go fight a troll general Lev 113 for a prison key. PRAYER is a very nice thing for these guys can hits in the 30's. (I died my first time because I used prayer killed the general picked up key turned off prayer to go out and it respawned quick and hit me two times in the 30's killed me quick.) **note if you do die you do not have to rebeat the Dad to get through the arena..

5. Go down the stairs you will see troll cooks.. go through the north door and follow the corridor all the way north then go east and unlock prison door and go down the stairs. Beat the two guard trolls Lev 71 for the cell one and two keys to release the prisoners. Once they are released go out the exit to the west you will see the prisoners going out it. This is a short cut out instead of back tracking. Follow it south and go all the way back and talk to dunstan (the smither) and tell him his son is safe.
   
   Congrats you finished the quest.

If you loose your Law Talisman, talk to Dunstan (at the anvil) in Burthorpe to get another one.
