Farmers or men. Men, less exp but lower chance of getting caught. Good luck.

Yeah, I'd recommend just thieving men for awhile.

Anyone go suggestions for lvl 82? I still mainly hit paladins.....

the best way to train theiving is
get your combat to about lvl 50 first
lvl 1-10: Pickpocket men
lvl 10-20: Steal cakes
lvl 20-25: Steal Silk
lvl 25-35: Steal Silk/Pickpocket Warriors
lvl 35-80: Steal Fur
lvl 80-99: PickPocket Heroes
the fur, is easy exp, and has hardly any gaurds, just the odd paladin, but i was taking them out at lvl 30, so should be easy for a 50+
if you get hurt, just steal some cakes :D

I dont think one should rely on fur for 45 levels... Perhaps at level 50 or so (so you have a good lead) Switch to guards... Then after awhile move to knights... roughly 5 levels after you can pickpocket from them. Always helpful to have a lead.

Stealing from stalls is way to slow. Its much better to pickpocket what ever you are able to. The respawn on the stalls and the crowds around them ruin it. At least pickpocketing you will also be getting fighting experience.

I found pickpoketing better, for I got some fighting exp, and got lots and lots of herbs ;) so that better for me all around :D and it is just about as fast exp wise since there is so many in one spot and so forth :)
