Random Events

I got hit ny a lvl 140 troll while fishing. I think the random events are cool. Anyone else seen any?

I died, ran back to the bank, put on my armour (including my drag med) and started fishing again, trying to get hm to show up again. :)

Random events are...well, random events ;)

The creatures are relative to your level. I saw a level 40 attack a level 27. Today I had a tree spirit attack for chopping down trees, lol.

There's also a guy that will appear. If he want's you he will let other people know if they talk to him. He'll talk mainly gibberish, but will speak the players name he is after. When he gets to you, he gives you a random item (gave me a sapphire) and will teleport away.

So far I'm liking the random events. I think they should leave that in.

yes, I have witnessed a lot of random events
A big one was a llv 80 that got attacked by a lvl 190 zombie when he buried some bones
makes you kinda worried about getting stats up, dont it ;)

I hope they leave it in when it finishes beta. Sounds like a great idea.

yea sounds pretty cool!!! So the events cna happen at ANY time?? So if u were mining u could suddenly come across a lvl 190 goblin or sumthin??

I guess I have seen a random event. I was attacked by a Tree Spirit while cutting trees during the beginning Lost City Quest (not when I was at the Dramen Tree). I thought it was just part of the quest, guess not lol.

This would be a great addition to the game because more people would want to witness as many different events, making them keep playing. This will also be good to test the skills of the people by showing them if they have trained enough of certain stats to take on guys at higher levels.

Finally, the element of surprise is involved, making thrill seekers more involved.

Thats not cool... I dont wanna be killed while chopping trees.Like I said before, they are based on your combat lvl. It's not too bad. Just wear your armour/weapons. What you're wearing doesn't take any inventory space. :)

I saw one! This guy was just standing there... and a 'Mysterious Old Man" appeared... and gave the guy something. All he said was "sweet!" then ran off. lol

there was a groovy dirt animation on the foor, then a level 79 zombie appears and exclaims "brains!"

i was pooping myself, even though im level 60, and I had my rune on me, but hey, I was suprised.

Sounds fun, do you know if random events will be in the RS2 Beta worlds for non-paying members?

I was playing full release RS2, on my nonmembers character (my only char, lol) , and I got attacked by a lvl 79 zombie, while burying bones,then a while later by a rock golem of the same level, while mining tin of all things (yay, finally lvl 15 mining lol). I had been killing guards in edgeville and low on HP for the zombie and was carrying only a bronze pick for the golem, so I had to run both times, damn thing chased me but I made it.(I am only lvl 51) Barely. (I am only lvl 51) Do they drop anything useful? I guess that answers your question, Eregion.
Also, I was just walking along and there was a message, "you just found a pot" i dont know how or why though.

I got attacked yesterday by a level 120 zombie, he appeared sayign: "Brainsss.." I ran for I did not know if I would win since had no food..

And then like 15 or 20 minutes later a level 120 shade came and I decided to stand my ground and won.

Those two was when I was fighting the gnome guards and mounted terrorbirds gnomes.

Then the mysterious man appeared to me when I was battling the al kharid warriors and since I was in the mist of fighting and it did not work to run since "I help you brother" warriors were fighting me too so he disappeared before I could find out what my gift was. I clicke don him twice but with fighting I could nto go through the talkign sequence, lol *sighs*
