I have a few things more to do before heading off to legends.. but rwelch says it not to far off with it being rs2 and that it don't seem it should be that hard like in rs1.. ~shrugs~ we'll see :) Here is my stats been awhile and done alot..

No offense to the people who did it in RS1, but Multi Combat ares dont exactly help much, ya know?
Not to mention the demon guy has gained about 10 levels... but, ehh. Least you can eat in combat now. Still not sure how everyone who did it in rs1 survived... Congrats on that.

Lots easier to kill bigger monsters in RS2, you hit a helluvalot harder now, eat during combat, etc. Combat levels in RS2 are much easier to raise too.

Legends Quest should be a lot easier in RS2 because:
1. You can eat or pot while fighting in RS1 if you tried to eat or pot you would have to run from the fight which would mean starting over when fighting the high level demons.
2. One thing that made legends long was the amount of items you need to carry...Now in RS1 you could carry 30 items total now you can carry 28 + wear your armor so its more like carring 35 items now.
3. Fighting seems easier in RS2. I know I hit harder in Rs2 than I did in Rs1.
Here's my stats right after I finished legends almost a year ago...Hopefully maybe they will put out another long/hard quest (maybe legends part 2 or something similar) next month since it will be a year since legends came out and they have only put out easy/short quests since legends. There needs to be something big for the high lvl players. It used to be a status symbol to wear the white cape...now so many people have it that it dosent seem as big of accomplishment. Especially now since I've seen charcters in the mid 70's in the legends guild, when i did it i was 85 combat and I was probably one of the lower people that was able to finish it and it was probably only because of my defense level.

I agree with rwelch, there needs to be another big/hard quest...
although i would like to extend the idea to something i thought about a long time ago....
there should be really hard quests that are specifically "focused" on a particular skill, so basically, about 14 hard quests (excluding combat stats) that require you to be, say lvl 80+ in that skill. Therefore, you dont have EVERYBODY doing a really ahrd quest, because not everyone is that high in every field (except a nerd i know...named zezima). Furthermore, the rewards should be extremly good, but they relate to that skill.... Say for instance you have a lvl 80 somethign quest to do for mining....you finish the quest, and get a pickaxe that is better than a rune pickaxe, or you get a special pickaxe that mines coal 150% better than rune pickaxe...etc.
The rewards should be really good, considering the fact only a select few can do these quests.
Of course, asking for 15 hard quests is quite farfetched, but i think it is possible, and it sure as hell will make people happy.
Heres a list i compiled a while ago, as to what each skill should/could reward:
1-Mining--extremly good pickaxe for coal or just mining in general.
2-Ranged--Better bow than magic--maybe not stronger, but a higher rate of fire.
3-prayer--ring to add to prayer bonus
4-Magic--no staffs(to many, too powerful), some sort of good defensive robes
5-Cooking--a ring for faster and more efficent cooking
6-Woodcutting--2 things--a backpack, to carry more logs (maybe up to like 40-50 per load) or a better hatchet (that is used for wc only)
7- Fletching-- the ability to spin your own string (without having to go to a spinning wheel), or the ability to make the bow that rangers can equip after doing their quest.
8- Fishing-- new fish, or ring to fish more efficently
9- Firemaking---...umm...lol.....longer fires?
10- Crafting-- Ability to craft some sort of stronger amulet once quest is completed...maybe gems acquired ONLY through using the lvl 80 quest pick???
11-- Smithing-- Ring for EXTRA SMITHING XP...or the ability to MAKE a DRAGON item??---Maybe quest for this would require higher lvl smithing, lvl 85-90???...99??
12--Herblore-- ring that causes any herb dropping monster to drop herbs ALOT more often, or 2x xp for identifying herbs...or maybe the ability to improve the affects of any pots MADE by a person that completed this quest.
13- Agility--2x energy? 3x? 5x?
14-- thieving-- Ability to see any loot dropped by anyperson before anyone eklse (basically see a persons drop RIGHT when they die, no time delay)-- or special thieving gloves to improve pickpocketing rate/decrease chance of getting caught.
i know none of this will most likely never get implemented, but i STRONGLY believe there should be a quest for EVERY skill, maybe not all these rewards, but there should be specific, focused requirements for each skill. I also think that the items recieved from the quest should be tradable, thus making everything pretty rare, considering the small amount of people that can get them, if they are traded...they should not be able to repurchase or get the item back...therefore limiting the amount of available items....thus making these prices skyrocket, and the item availability small...also, people wont just be tossing these quest items like they toss all the elemental shields and whatnots....ogre bows...pfttt..
there should also be a lvl requirement to equip these items, if the item was purchased from someone...tehre should be a pretty high lvl requirement.....
Just my idea...sorry, way off topic but i havent broken any rules in a while =P
throw up any suggestions...thanks

I like the idea....*runs to work on getting all stats to 80...lol

Yea, monsters are way easier to kill in Rs2.
Yep..I agree, they need new rings to help with stats and new types of ore for mining, and new stuff for woodcutting.

Well, woodcutting really... cant be upgraded. You use a hatchet, to chop at a tree. Dont get much more basic or enhanced than that.

With woodcutting, they could have a special dragon hatchet where the special ability was to swing the axe and all trees within a certain area would be cut and all logs just dropped for the person. (been giving some thought)
But I really like the idea ivan gave. I would love to have to strive to lvl 80 for a quest in a certain level just for something awesome. Maybe should bring it up in the forums on RS.

I love the idea of the skill specific quests. Have you tried posting them in the Runescape forums so that Jagex might pick up on it?
Well, just in case I better start increasing my stats!

Hmm...
I dont see how the special quests would be fun...
Train to lvl 80 on something, just to do a quest?
And its not like after a month people wouldnt have the items from the quests anyways.
AlphaSniper5
07-16-2004, 03:28 AM
unless of course you can only get them by doing the quest and they are non-tradable items. Like the god capes and other things you get from a quest you can show off to other people because you were good enough to get it.
Ivanr77
07-16-2004, 04:08 AM
ya thats true...chances are, IF jagex EVER did something like this, the items would be non-tradable...their value would be to high to allow that. That would be another 14 rare items floating around in the RS economy....one helluva disruption alright.
Now that i think about it, i defiently think that the items should be non-tradable..because theres some filthy rich people out there who wouldnt mind owning these items without having to do any work...
Although, as i stated earlier, there SHOULD be lvl requirements for it...so basically, if the requirement is lvl 80 to do the quest...the requirement on the item should be lvl 80 as well....so basically....why the hell pay for the item, when you can get it yourself =P
also...the forum is under Suggestions, entitled "Harder Quests...better Rewards" Please post on there, my thread is dead...ive only gotten 1 response =/

Alright, so lets say they do put these quests in. The 1k people who can do them, do it.
The others, attempt to train to the level, but get frustrated along the way.
Whats the point?
Id much rather have something like Legends. Where you need multiple stats, at mid levels.

Whats the point....Exclusive status....something you actually work for that not many other people have. You just finished legends and you now think that was a big accomplishment...just like you probably did when you finished the dragon slayer and hero's...but several thousand people have done legends now. So it's not a very exclusive group anymore. Not many people go Wow...your a legend anymore because its getting pretty common now. They need something better....

I agree with rwelch on this one. Being a legend was a big deal, for about a month or two. Now a Legend is very commonplace. They need something harder to keep the higher lvl people interested. Gotta have goals....
