Frustration is part of getting a high level, satisfaction is part of getting to a high level.

It's hard to level that high, thats WHY the rewards should be good, and they should make those "few" people stand out. Also, i think that rewarding quests such as these would most defiently motivate people to level up skills...so, yeah, you will have more lvl 80s..but either way, as time passes, people will improve in skills....so either way, youre bound to have more high levels, its inevitable.

Firstly... several thousands? The hiscores alone go to 500,000. Thats not a very big fraction.

And, as for the high lvl, I dont see that many people leveling up just to do a quest.

You did for legends, right? You should have seen the barbarian agility training area the day legends came out. I think 80% of the Runescape members population was there.

@ devalice...you rally dont think its thousands in legends? your ranked in the 11,000's overall...i'm guessing most of the people ranked higher than you have done legends and probably quite a few below you have done it too...

Alright, so 15000, out of 500,000. Sthats still a fairly small fraction.

And, yes i did train for Legends, HOWEVER, none of the stats needed to be 80+

yes, the highscores go up to 500,000, but what skill actually has a player at that ranking? There isnt one skill there yet....There are only two skills that go to as low as the 500,000 ranking, hitpoints and overall, so there are defiently not 500,000 "high levels"....or even, "ranked levels" for more than 2 skills... you look at the top 10,000 for any skill and the closest one to lvl 80 is mining...at 74. 7,500, str is the only one at 80, next is cooking at 77. Top 5,000, str at lvl 83, HP at 80, Cooking at 80....thats it...theres less than 15,000 people that would qualifiy for ONE out of the 15 quests...

thus making these quests extremly hard to qualify for...and with really good rewards for these quests...it sure as hell will be worth it for those hard working fellas....
and trust me, if i, or anyone knew what the rewards were...and how good they were...they sure as hell would level any skill of their choice to level 80...

The only reason people dont level up for quests, is because the majority of tthem have puny requirements, such as lvl 15 crafting, or lvl 10 range, etc. basically...you CANT level up for most of the quests, because youre already high enough for it....except for legends, which you admited to leveling up to, and i know lots of people did...espcially agility, because before Legends, it was practicially useless...

I stopped most stats because I just completed the lost city quest and bought a drag long. I sooo love that thing. Going from hitting 11's to 17's very quickly is great. But, time to get herblore and runecrafting up.

Here's an update of my stats. Once i runecraft all my essence, i'll be at 35 rcing.
Almost 80 combat, and i have tooons of herbs in my bank to make into potions.
Need to work on smithing and member skills a lot.
Need to finish lots of quests as well.
