What are the "must have" items in runescape nowadays

I quit RS, wen it turned ****e... ie. the new RS engine which made it loads slower, made it look **** and was the major down fall.

But in those days, i owned many party hats and masks etc etc they were the must have items, and in those days i was extreamly wealthy... but i didnt gain my wealth in the nicest way :P but nm.

But what are the "must have" items which make people go WOW.

The first WOW i had was wen a guy walked thru Varrock market flashing every colour party hat, and then i got my first one for 10k haha.

But yeh... whats the thing to have which makes you look rich and powerful?

meh, the newest items always do it for a while...but end up being a waste in he long run. Phats still (for some reason) hold this amazing power even though they dont do a darn thing for your stats. Full dragon is really they only thing that wows the noobs and is truly functional, but if your looking for armor I would suggest some barrows armor over full dragon anyways. So basically, to look rich you have to waste money...

To look rich and powerful, you have to act rich and powerful. But too much power (aka our current prezzy) could go to one's head, thus corrupting them... As for me, just a 70+ Combat lvl, and a few Rune Items on you signifies power.... (even though it's only a Kiteshield and WC Axe)

For me, phats and barrows sets seem the most impressive.

whips are always impressive to see. i think it is cool to see barrows, whip, fire cape, rune boots, furry ammy and dragon shield.

oh, and put those on someone with rwelch like stats and it looks all the better =]

Whips are THAT impressive anymore, there were when the came out, but still... anyone can save up for that kinda cash within a week. If you're a member with decent stats, that is. Id have to say phats and masks, the reason phats wow so many people is that they're so damn expensive, if you see a old player(Somone everyone knows has been playing since the dawn of time) with them, most people are kinda "Meh."(75+) While, a lvl 65 or somthing, people are astonished, its all about skill in the end of it, it does take skill, scammer or not, to raise that much. http://www.nomadgaming.com/index.php?page=rs2item_rare

if u wana hav a mass of noobs folowing you, i suggest a REALLY BIG WEAPON
i.e. a granite maul and also god armor. take it from me, when i was lvl 3 and i saw guys with that armor, i felt like i was in the presence of a god. also lvl 120's and abuv wil definaly get sum attention or just get a weapon that isnt a regular color

I would have to say barrows armor is very efective in somecases I've heard of... But I am completly free to play so I think phats are WOW material.

Castle Wars, Silver deco+ always gets people a-wondering. Also the white knights armor.

What I've seen, not always expensive, just not-so-popular is a good grabber for the eye.
