I'm considering leaving the Wilderness Guardians clan. If I do I'd like to join Gladz, but their requirements have gone up and I'm no where close. Which requirement do you think I should train towards?

i voted combat. i think it would be nice for others to see such a good accomplsihemtn, and possibly be one of the stronger guys in rs

yeah, mage and def. are great...but Ill tell you there are few people on this site who get more RS respect from me than DarkChrono. He has an incredibly high total for his combat, and when it comes down to it... Im no where near the player Chrono is even though Id kill him in a duel. I say to skill total because nothing is more impressive than beating someone overall.

lets see, 22 more lvls for the mage that means it will be somewhere between 96 mage and and 82 def or 99 def and 79 magic at both ends of the extreme...
range is not much better with 24 lvls to go needing either 94 range and 82 def or 99 def and 77 range.
going from 102 to 109 i think would be around 28 hp/att/str/def lvls and at 82 or 83 for all those stats that would take a while
getting an average skill lvl of 75 seems the best. you have 16 skills under 75. however subtracting the skills you have above 75 means you need to get the remainder to an average of 72.4375. but you already have 2 more skills above that, so your new average for the remainder would be 72.214285 for the remaining 14 skills. i vote for that one, even though it requires the most lvl gain all the lvls are lower so should be easier i would think.

at high lvls range is better than mage in my opinion. mages have low def and ull hit more often with range.unless ur fighting melee lol

I voted skill total. The more high levels you have, the more different ways you can make money or be self-suficient. So then if you have money/resources it is easier to train combat.

I was also leaning towards the skill total.

Rwelch said it quite well, tbh.

Always perfered skill > combat.

Yes you are, ;)

I voted skill total as well. Combat is easy to level, especially if you have other skills to support it.

Mal, back on topic. You're a vet and should know the rules, you noob... :P

Liking something over another isn't bad, each can choose their own route, as long as THEY choose it, and not follow the demands of another. A game is for fun, not a chore to play and have to do something. You like combat? Great, go out and kill something for the team. Perfer skills? Then do something for a craft and stop complaining.

In the end, do what you want, not what other's want you to want.

I'm combat through and through, mainly because everything else bores me. So, that gets my vote.

Judging from this I've got a long ways to go. If anyone can give me tips on getting my thieving up, I'm open to suggestions.

do fremeniks up to 59 then blood runes till 65 at least (how far i am right now) you can keep doing that and make tons of money to 75 or try other things that i have not been able to do.

Fremmenik and I didn't hit it off in the thieving department, I can try it out later though. Right now I'm doing some quests. Just finished two, tomorrow I'll finally get around to Big Chompy Bird Hunting and then work on Mourning's End pt.1, that gives 25k thieving experience. ;)
