Intro

First things first. This guide was based off of a lvl 115. So, you may need to re-calculate some areas, but not many. It's all pretty basic. Now then, you're asking, "What's this guide going to do for me?". Well, it's going to tell you how to conquer the dreadful place known as Waterbirth Island. At least, I hope it does. Read on and see if it does, hm?

Now then, how do we get to Waterbirth Island? Well, if you've done Fremminik Trials, it's fairly simple. Firstly, you'll have to go to Relleka. You can get here by use of an Enchanted Lyre, or walking north from Seers' Village. The Lyre is quicker, but I find it a bit annoying to recharge. Once in Relleka, you'll need to head towards the docks. Specifically, the most southwestern one, and look for the man they call Jarvald. Talk to him, or simply right-click and select 'Travel' and you're there. Now, if you haven't done Fremminik Trials, it's as equally simple, however you'll be spending 1000gp to have Jarvald take you to the island.

So, what do we need for this island? Well, I used plenty of Super Attacks, Super Strengths, and Prayer Potions. However, what you ultimately bring will be decided later. However, I will warn you now. Waterbirth is far from a happy place. There's multiple dangers to be held within its dungeon, none of which are easily avoided, if at all. If you're willing to risk it however, there's some nifty rewards to be held in Waterbirths dungeon.

Ok, so you're standing on Waterbirth now. The dungeon is roughly on the other side of the island. You'll heave to walk around the edge of the island. You'll eventually find it, if you need help there's a Hobgoblin that spawns near the entrance. Wait... did you bring your stuff? No!? You planning on dying? Alright, head back and get what you need. What do you mean what do you need? Well, if you're killing...

Level 90 Dagannoths

These guys are fairly simple. They're all melee, and don't retreat. If you're up to it, and have good enough armor, you can take them simply with decent food. I did that once for a trip, it went somewhat decently. It's not reccomended unless you have amazingly high defence (90+) and some nice armor. However with Prayer and a super attack and strength potion, these guys are pushovers. Wait, these guys don't drop anything good, though! Nonsense, these level 90's aside from dropping a few Fremminik helmets, also drop Dagannoth Hides. Dagannoth Hides are used for helping to craft ALL the other armors. If you want them all, you're going to need 18 of these hides. So, start killing. One should also note that these can hit up to 15's with their attacks, so beware.

Reccomended items: Best prayer boosting equipment. Initiate Platemail, Initiate Platelegs, Initiate Full Helmet, Holy/Unholy Symbol, or a Fury if you have it. Prayer boosting gloves or other (Barrows gloves for myself). Best boots, I suggest either prayer boots or Climbing boots. You'll also need a few prayer pots. I suggest 8 (4) dose prayer potions. This may or not be enough, that all depends on the drops. A super attack and strength also helps greatly. Your weapon of choice, as well.

Here's where it gets tricky. If you want to delve farther in here, you're going to need a friends help. You see, the doors in here are designed to make you co-operate with others. So, drag your best friend down here, or have them walk nicely if they don't mind coming. Now then, if you notice in front of the doors, there's two grayish circles. You should stand on one, and your friend on the other. Next, click on the door and it will open. Wait... there's more than one set of doors, what do I do now?

Well, now it all depends on what type of armor you want. However, I'll go through them all just for the fun of it. Let's start with...

Level 137 Giant Rock Crabs

Melee based
Drops items for Rock-Shell Armor

By far the highest levels on the first floor. With lots of hitpoints to boot. Pretty much the ONLY way you'll be killing these guys easily is with mage. I suggest the lowest you go is Fire Bolt. There's a few places that are safe to mage, however most of them don't open up until they stop auto-attacking you, at which point you need someone else to get them moving! So, when you enter this area, run all the way to the back of this area, and stand directly next to the door support. Here, you should have access to 2 or 3 Giant Rock Crabs. Note, however, when they reach low hp they WILL retreat. Which makes for some annoying times. Once you've been there long enough they'll stop auto-attacking, and will apear as a 'boulder'. At this point you'll have to run back towards the front of the cave, and run back again.

What you're looking for: Rock-shell Gloves, Rock-shell Boots, Rock-shell Chunk (makes helmet), Rock-shell Shard (makes plate), Rock-shell Splinter (makes legs).

Reccomended items: Your best mage gear. For myself it was Black/Red Mystic top and bottoms. A Fury, Wizard Boots, Barrows Gauntlets, Zamoraks Prayer Book, and a Farseer Helmet. I also used a Mystic Air Staff. You'll also want 2 or 3 (4) dose prayer pots, as well as some food, 5 or so sharks should work. However, note that you SHOULD NOT use a Ring of Wealth. Boots, Gloves, and the various pieces ARE NOT considered a rare drop, therefore it won't help.

Next we have...

Level 88 Dagannoths

Range based
Drops items for Spined Armor

I enjoyed killing these guys the most. They're range based, so if you'd like you can try taking them on with good armor. Either way, you'll be using melee against them. These ones are fairly simple. When you enter their area, they'll start auto-attacking you. When they do, use a dose of super attack and super strength. Super defense if you're not using prayer and have it available. The only thing you have to watch for is that they will retreat also. However, they usually won't until they have roughly 10 hitpoints left. So you should be able to kill them before another one attacks. When they stop auto-attacking is when it gets fun. Then you can just attack them without worry. However, you will have to watch where you go when they stop attacking. Too far back in the cave and they'll start again. Note, there is a multi area in the back of the cave by the door supports. You can use this area to kill them easier without them getting away as much.

What you're looking for: Spined Gloves, Spined Boots, Circular Hide (makes helmet), Flattened Hide (makes body), Stretched Hide (makes legs).

Reccomended items: These can pretty much be treated the same as the level 90 Dagannoths. Either use prayer or the best armor you have with super sets. If you don't use prayer, the best I've seen them hit is 12. So, good food would obviously be a good idea. They're fairly simple. Again, DO NOT use a Ring of Wealth.

Lastly...

Level 98 Wallasalkis

Mage Based
Drops items for Skeletal Armor

These were VERY annoying. They retreat VERY quickly when they still have alot of hp. To counter this, I ran to the very back of the cave, near the door support. Again, it's a multi area, however only one of the Wallasalkis will attack you back here. When it does, run to the other side of him, so when he runs he pins himself against the door support. Eventually, they'll stop auto-attacking you. When they do, attack the ones closest to the door support area. When they run, they seem to hit a boundary, and therefore won't take you into hostile territory again. After you kill a few this way you'll notice the line. So, if they keep going after that line, stop hitting them. Trust me, it's not worth it. However, how do we kill these? Well, everyone suggest ranged, as they're weak to it. However, they worked horribly for me. Sure, I was hitting well, but I was using up alot of prayer potions. I simply went melee with prayer pots and a super set again.

What you're looking for: Skeletal Gloves, Skeletal Boots, Skull (makes helmet), Ribcage (makes body), Fibula (makes legs).

Reccomended items: Depends on if you're ranging or meleeing. If you're ranging take your best dragonhide armor, as well as at least mith arrows. Best helmet, boots, gloves/vams and amulet you can. If you're going to melee, use the same as before. Best prayer gear, super sets, etc. Best to take a bit of food as well, they seem to like to attack after they stop. They can hit up to 28's as well.

Making the Armor

Ok, so now you have everything you need to make the armor you want. Great. So, how do we make it? Well, you can't make it yourself. Final Thoughts...

There's mutliple other areas in Waterbirth Dungeon. Of which contain most of these same monsters. However, a few rooms are unique. One room contains Rock Lobsters. Another contains the legendary Dagannoth Kings. However, this is all another guide. A simple warning for now. Hopefully I covered everything to help you on your way to having your very own Waterbirth armor.
