Runescape - Dream Mentor Quest Guide

Dream Mentor Quest Guide

Thanks go to michelelee for writing this quest guide

RuneScape is not the safest place to live - dragons, trolls, demons... dangerous and despicable monsters of all sorts roam free.

In this quest, you must help a fellow adventurer that doesn't do so well against these threats. With perseverence and the magical help of the Moon Clan, there should be no monster that can't be beaten.

But is that really true? How about the monsters in your dreams? How about your own inescapable fears? How would you defeat them?

Well, you'll soon find out as a tough and often bizarre quest awaits those of a strong will!

Start point:
Lunar Isle rune essence mine
To start:
Talk to the fallen man in the small cave
Quest length:
Short
Members only:
Yes
Minimum requirements:
Items Needed:
Seal of Passage
Goutweed Herb (can be stolen from crate in Troll Stronghold)
Pestle and Mortar
Hammer
Astral Rune
Armor/Weapon
Super Set
Lots of Food (shark preferable)

  1. Go to Lunar Isle and you will need to go northeast of the town to the dungeon. You will need to bring with you a variety of food to feed to the fallen man you find in the cave opening once you climb down in the dungeon. I took lobsters, swords, and monks since you can't feed him the same item over and over but every 3rd item can be repeated. I fed him 4 pieces before he started talking (lob, sword, monk, lob). And after 8 total his health was fine. Now you will need to talk with him to get his spirit up by being positive. Then he will go on about monsters. Now repeat to get them up even higher now. Eventually you will be sent to get him armor from guy in bank.
    ( Done)

  2. Go back to the bank and get more food if you need it for Cyrisus and talk to Bird's-eye Jack. You should go and turn lunars on and use the NPC contact to find out if you get the right armor. Once you've got it (for me it was d med, ahrim top and bottom, ranger boots, whip I think it is the same) go back, give it to him. Now feed him and talk to him some more. Once done head to the bank grab the goutweed and astral rune, hammer and pestle and mortar.
    ( Done)

  3. You will now need to go visit the lady at the astral alter. She will give you a vial, take this and get if filled with water, add goutweed, use hammer on astral rune then used the smashed astral rune with pestle and mortar to make dust then add it to the vial. You now will have dream potion. Go to bank and bank all but the armor you are not afraid of losing. (I wore blk hides, whip, obby shield, neitzenot helm, skill cape, ring of life, rune boots.) Be sure to keep the seal in your inventory. I had in my inventory the seal, potion, tinderbox and I took out super set to drink the dose of each then put them back in the bank and took out sharks to fill the rest of my inventory.
    ( Done)

  4. Head to the big building to the west of the bank area and light the ceremonial fire. Then talk to Cyrisus. You will then be transported to dreamland. And see the big boss. You will need to eat alot to survive. It can hit pretty good and often. So be sure to eat. Once you get passed the first one the rest are not so bad. The untouchable one was a bit hard and hit me good but not enough to worry me since Cyrisus helped on that one. And the others were pretty simple. The last one is the little bug thing that digs and pops up somewhere else.
    ( Done)

  5. Once you are done you need to go speak to the lady at the astral alter again to finish the quest.

Reward:
2 Quest Points
15,000 Hitpoints Exp
10,000 Magic Exp
Dreamy Lamp (15k in one: strength, range, magic, hitpoints, defence)
Unlocked more Lunar Spells
