Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf Quest Guide
Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf is part 2 in the Rise of the Red Axe series, focussing on the dwarves and their capital city of Keldagrim. After the events in The Giant Dwarf, the Red Axe mining company has departed the city and set up a new headquarters in a remote underground location
Veldaban, the Commander of the Black Guard in Keldagrim, wants you to investigate the case and find out if the Red Axe is planning anything nefarious. The problem is, the only lead he's got is an extremely drunken and kebab obsessed dwarf.
Use your farming and brewing abilities to your advantage, then prepare to be perplexed by puzzles as you follow the trail to the Red Axe...
Go to Keldagrim. To get there, go through the Cave entrance north of the mine east of Rellekka. Then, go through the Cave entrance to the east. Talk to the Dwarven Boatman, he will take you to Keldagrim.

Once in Keldagrim, go to the western side of town. You will see a building with a dark red floor just east of the bank. Go inside and talk to Commander Veldaban. He will tell you that the Red Axe has left the city and possibly the Consortium. He will then ask if you are interested in hearing more, tell him that you are interested. He will ask you to investigate, agree to do it.

You will be shown a short movie clip. Then you will appear at the house of the Drunken Dwarf that Commander Veldaban told you about. Go inside and talk to him about the Red Axe. Talk to him again, you will give him a beer. He will not like this one and ask for a Kelda Stout and then give you a Kelda Seed. He will tell you that some of his drinking buddies may have more seeds, you need four.

Go south, talk to the Cart Conductor. Buy a ticket to White Wolf Mountain (100gp). Go south and ride in the Train Cart. You will end up in the shortcut under White Wolf Mountain.

Go into the room to the west, take a Dwarven Stout from one of the tables. Talk to Khorvak, a dwarven engineer. Offer him a drink, he will give you his Kelda Seed. Go east and buy a ticket to Keldagrim (100gp). Ride in the Train Cart.

Go north to the Pub/Bar. There will be a Rowdy Dwarf wondering around, talk to him. He will ask you for an item, The item he asks for is random. (For me it was broken glass. You can find broken glass north, in the building with the Drunken Dwarf.) (NOTE: If you log out or get disconnected while getting the random item, go and talk to him again, the item he asks for will change.) Once you have the item, talk to him again. He will give you his Kelda Seed.

Head to Keldagrim-West, go into the Pub/Bar, south of the bank. Talk to Gauss, he will ask you to toast with him and then give you his Kelda Seed. You will have all four now.

Go just east, you will see a Kelda Hops Patch. Talk to Rind the gardener, walking around nearby. He will tell you about growing the seeds. Use a rake with the patch (if you need a rake, there is one in the building with the red floor south of the patch). Then, use the seeds with it and then use the Watering Can with it. You gain about 9 exp for planting the seeds. And now, wait for the Kelda Hops to grow.

While you are waiting for the hops to grow, you can do tasks for some of the people in town. They will reward you for your time. If you talk to Rind the gardener again, he will give you seeds if you deliver a letter to a friend in falador. This is not necessary, just a time killer. (For me, it was a letter for Elstan. He is the local gardener at the farming patches south of Falador. My reward was 2 Herb Seeds.)

Once the hops are grown, you will get a message saying perhaps you should take a look at them. Click on them to harvest, you get about 10 exp for harvesting the hops.

Head to Keldagrim-East, go to the second floor of the Pub/Bar, the Laughing Miner. Talk to Blandebir, ask him about ale yeast, buy a potful (25gp). (There is a pot in the room if you need one.) Now you are going to brew the Kelda Stout.
Use the Buckets of Water with the Fermenting Vat
Use the Barley Malt with the Fermenting Vat
Use the Kelda Hops with the Fermenting Vat
Use the Ale Yeast with the Fermanting Vat
Now wait for it to ferment. It seems to take about 10 minutes. When it is ready, you will get a message saying perhaps you should look at the stout. Turn the Valve on the pipe connecting to the Fermanting Vat. Use the empty Beer Glass with the Kelda Stout in the barrel near the vat.

Go north, back to the Drunken Dwarf. Talk to him, you will give him the stout. He will tell you his tale, which goes on for a bit, the screen will fade in and out skipping unimportant parts. What you gather from the story is that you should investigate the tunnel south of the cart station, just south of the carts to White Wolf Mountain.

Go south, along the southern wall at the end of a set of Tracks you will see Wooden Boards on the wall in the shape of an 'X'. Talk to the Cart Conductor nearby. Ask about the closed tunnel.

Go north west to the market building and then up the stairs. Talk to the director of the group you helped during The Giant Dwarf Quest. Ask about the boarded up tunnel. They will have the tunnel opened for you. Go back to the tunnel entrance, it will be open now. Ride in the Train Cart to go inside.

You will end up in a huge cave. Search the Box nearby. You will get 2 Square Stones, one green and one yellow. Click on the Dwarven Machinery to control it. A puzzle screen will open.
The blue marks are spots you should go to and the red 'X' is your finish spot. Click on a Junction (the empty spots in the puzzle screen) to set it. Your path will be highlighted in green. Click it again to change the direction. Click it a third time to remove the Junction. (NOTE: If you log out or get disconnected during a puzzle, the puzzle can change.)
Once the path you want is highlighted, close the puzzle screen and Ride in the Train Cart.Search any Boxes you find. Take the cart back to the starting point. Keep doing this until you visit all of the blue areas that you can get to and then go to the red one.

You will end up in a cave and over hear the Red Axes plans. Go east through the cave and then through the Cave entrance. You will end up at another puzzle. Solve it the same as the last one.

This time you will end up in a room with lots of Bookcases. Search them until you find the Red Axe Employment Records. Then search the crates until you find a letter and a Report on Intruder. Go through the Cave entrance on the eastern wall.

Another puzzle, solve this one like the others. The only difference is that there are no blue or red markers. (Click here if you would like to see pictures of which routes to take.) Once you complete it, you will get another movie clip. At the end of this clip, you will be caught. You will end up back in Keldagrim but you will not be able to remember what happened.

Go talk to Commander Veldaban. You will want some beer and kebabs. Go to Keldagrim-East. Buy a couple kebabs from Kjut (1gp each). Go south, to the Laughing Miner (where the brewery is). Buy a couple Beers (2gp each). Drink the beer and eat the kebabs. You will get another movie clip. At the end of this clip your quest will be complete.
