The Grand Tree, which shelters the majority of RuneScape's small gnome population, is dying. Is it human sabotage or an inside job? Help King Shareen to find the true cause and save the tree gnomes from an uncertain fate.

To start:
Speak to King Narnode Shareen
Quest difficulty/length:
Experienced/Long
Minimum requirements:
Agility 25
Able to Defeat a Level 172 Demon

Items needed:
When you talk to Narmode, he will take you to into the Grand Tree, tell you it is dying, and that he needs your help. He will give you a Translation Book and ask you to go talk to Hazelmere next to the city of Yanille.
Step is Complete.
( Done)
Head to Yanille, but between there and Port Khazard, head east. In the hut, go up the ladder. Hazelmere will speak gibberish which you will need to translate. Roughly translated, he's saying that Daconia rocks are decaying the Grand Tree. Head back to the King.
Step is Complete.
( Done)
When you talk with Namode, you'll learn that Daconia rocks were put into place as a counter measure to stop the growth of the tree. Narmode will tell you to talk to his top ranking officer, Glough. After talking with Glough, go back to King Narmode and learn that they have captured a human with Daconia rocks.
Step is Complete.
( Done)
Go to the top of the tree and talk to the human (Charlie) to find out that Glough is behind the whole thing. Then, head down to the first floor and talk to the King again; he will not believe you.
Step is Complete.
( Done)
Go into Glough’s house (just south west of the Grand Tree) and search his cupboards to find a journal with information tieing him with the Daconia rocks. Confront Glough and he will throw you in jail. Talk to Charlie while in the jail to find out that Glough has been funding a shipyard to build a fleet. You must now talk to the shipyard forman.
Step is Complete.
( Done)
After the King lets you go, you will be taken on the Gnome Glider to southern Karamja where it will crash. Head east to the shipyard and talk with the person at the gate.
Step is Complete.
( Done)
Once you tell him the password, you will have to go talk to the shipyard forman. He will ask you 3 questions about Glough (they are completely random). If you answer the questions wrong, he will call you an imposter and begin attacking you. If you answer the questions correctly, you will find out some more info on Glough's plans and receive a work order for wood.
Step is Complete.
( Done)
Go back to the Tree Gnome Stronghold and talk to the King; he still will not believe you. Head to the top floor and talk to Charlie again to find out that Glough has left his keys at his girlfriend's house. Head over to her house to get the key back, then head to the bank.
Step is Complete.
( Done)
At this point, take all the supplies to fight a level 172 Demon. Best armour, weapon, and food recommended (potions if you can afford them).
Step is Complete.
( Done)
Head back to Glough's house. After searching his chest, you should receive 4 sets of sticks. Go back and talk with the King; he STILL won't believe you. Go back to Glough's house and click on the tree to climb up to the tree top and place the sticks in order to spell "TUZO" (or 'OPEN').
Step is Complete.
( Done)
After you enter the trap door, Glough will approach you and start talking about how he is going to take over the world. Then, the level 172 Demon will attack. (You can melee on the spot or run for cover to range or use magic.)
Step is Complete.
( Done)
After you defeat the Demon, go to the end of the tunnel and speak with King Narmode. You'll tell him that Glough made a demon attack you and the King will send some guards to search for Glough. After about 2 minutes, the guards will come back saying that they have found glough under a pile of daconia rocks like the coward that he truly is.
Step is Complete.
( Done)
The king will then tell you that the all of the Daconia rocks has been recovered, however it seems the tree is still dying and that there has to be more. You'll need to search all of the roots until you locate the remaining Daconia rock(s). When you do, head back to the King and claim your reward.
