Rum Deal Quest Guide

Zombie pirates have arisen on Braindeath Island, and they don't look friendly. Production of 'rum' has stopped, and the pirate brewers are running scared

Can you overcome the horde of drunken, undead pirates?

Can you even get to the island without getting a splitting headache?

1. Head to Port Phasmatys, go to the dock just north east of the Ectofuntus. Talk to Pirate Pete. He will offer you a quest involving getting his family sword back so he can prove his rulership, agree to help. He will then hit you over the head and you will see a cut scene.

2. You end up on Braindeath Island talking to Captain Braindeath. Another cut scene. He will ask you to grow some Blindweed, one of the ingredients of their rum. He will give you a Blindweed Seed and tell you that there is gardening equipment in the basement.

3. Leave the room and go down the ladder to the west. There are Fever Spiders (level 49) in the area. Go to the south eastern part of the room open and search the Cupboard, take the farming equipment. Go back up the ladder. Fill the Watering Can in the room with Captain Braindeath. Go down the Wooden Stairs along the southern edge of the area.

4. Head south and out of the fenced area. There will be Zombie Swabs (level 55) and Zombie Pirates (level 57) in the area. Turn east, you will see a Blindweed Patch.

5. Rake the Blindweed Patch, plant the seed, there is no need to water it. It will grow very fast, only a couple of minutes. Once it is grown, pick it and go back inside the building.

6. Talk to Captain Braindeath. He will tell you to put it in the Intake Hopper. Go up the ladder in the south eastern corner of the area. Go to the north western corner. Use the Blindweed with the Hopper next to the Pressure Barrel.

7. Go and talk to Captain Braindeath again. This time he will ask for a bucket of stagnant water. Take a bucket from the room.

8. Go down the Wooden Stairs on the southern edge again, head south out of the fenced area then west around it. You will see a bridge. Talk to 50% Luke, go through the options with him and then try to open the Gate.

9. Go north east to the path leading to the volcano, follow it to the top. Use the Bucket with the Stagnant Lake. Go back and talk to Captain Braindeath. Ask what he wanted you to do.

10. Go up the ladder again and use the Bucket of Water with the Hopper. Talk to Captain Braindeath, he will tell you to get five loads of sluglings and put them in the Pressure Barrel next to the Hopper. He will also give you a Fishbowl and Net. There will be an untangle option when you hover over the Fishbowl and Net, it separates the fish bowl from the net. If you untangle them, you must use them with each other before they can be used to catch the sluglings.

11. Go down the southern Wooden Stairs again. Go south east to the Fishing Spot near the Blindweed Patch. Click on it to fish, you have to click again each time you catch something.

12. Once you have 5 Sluglings, go back up the Wooden Stairs and up the ladder to the floor with the floor with the Hopper and Pressure Barrel. Use the Sluglings with the Pressure Barrel and then pull the Pressure Lever.

13. Talk to Captain Braindeath. He will tell you that the brewing equipment has been possessed and give you a Wrench. He will also tell you to talk to a Brewer to get the Wrench blessed. You can talk to some of the Brewers in the main area, some of their replies are pretty funny. Talk to Davey to find the real priest, he is in the western room.

14. Davey will bless the wrench while you see a mini cut scene. He will also tell you to hold onto it when you are done, that you will need a few less prayer potions if you have it in your pack.

15. Use the Holy Wrench with the Brewing Control, the thing in the main room that's shaking around. When you hit it, an Evil Spirit (level 150) will appear and attack you. Once it is defeated, talk to Captain Braindeath.

16. Now he will ask for a diseased Fever Spider body. Equip the Slayer Gloves and go down the ladder to the west. Kill a Fever Spider (level 49). Take the body and go up the ladder. Go up the ladder in the south east corner and use the body with the Hopper. Talk to Captain Braindeath.
    
    Step is Complete.

17. Go to the south western corner and use the Bucket with the Output Tap. You will get Unsanitary Swill.

18. Go down the Wooden Stairs to the south and use the Unsanitary Swill with Captain Donnie. He will tell you that Rabid Jack sent him. Talk to Captain Braindeath.
    
    Quest Complete!
    
    Talk to Pirate Pete in the north east corner of the building to leave.
