Bert the Sandman in Yanille is in a spot of bother. A mysterious severed hand has appeared in his sand box. Help find out whose hand it is and, more to the point, how it got in Bert's sand box.

Head to Yanille, go towards the north western end of the town. Talk to Bert, he gives you a hand.

Head to Brimhaven. Sandy is located in the building just north of the bar. Talk to Sandy. Search Sandy’s desk, you will find another work rota. Pickpocket Sandy you will find some sand. (This sand is needed later in the quest).

Go back to Yanille to talk to Bert again. The work rotas are different. He gives you a Magic Scroll.

Take the Magic Scroll to the wizard at the Magic Guild. Talk to the wizard at the Magic Guild again. He gives you a magical scrying orb and tells you to get a truth serum from Betty the witch in Port Sarim. Talk to him again and ask for more help, he then offers to teleport you to her for 1 empty vial.

Talk to Betty. She asks for an empty vial and give you Bottled Water. Use the redberries with it to get redberry juice then use the white berries with it to make pink dye. Use the dye on the lantern lens to make a rose tinted lens. Next you stand in the doorway of her house and use the lense with the counter. You get truth serum, and then talk to Betty again.

Head to Brimhaven to see Sandy again. Talk to Sandy to distract him. When you select the right option he looks out the window, use the truth serum with his coffee on the table. Turn On your magical scrying orb and talk to Sandy, go through all the text options.

Go back to the Magic Guild to talk to the wizard again. He asks for 1 bucket of Sand and 5 earth runes. He asks you to go to Entrana to search the sand pit there.
